You don’t have to experience life alone. We have programs in place to support you as you make decisions about your pregnancy and future. Next Step offers many growth opportunities, all at no cost.

Classes

Next Step uses the BrightCourse curriculum to bring you educational classes that apply to real life. Courses that we offer range from pregnancy and childbirth to life skills and can be completed at Next Step or virtually. If you choose to parent your baby, taking advantage of these courses will earn points toward the items we offer in our Nursery Nook. Gain new skills while earning items that you will need to prepare for the arrival of your little one.

You will be able to message our office (replacing the old text threads), and see your Nursery Nook purchases, your assigned classes, your balance of Baby Bucks, and other documents we may have on file.

Breastfeeding Support

If you decide to parent your baby, you might opt to breastfeed for many reasons, including:

  • There are health benefits for the baby.
  • There are health benefits for you.
  • Breastfeeding is more cost-effective than formula.
  • Some women find that breastfeeding helps them better bond with their babies.

Despite the benefits of breastfeeding, it doesn’t always come easy to women. Many women and babies struggle with the correct position and latch. It is common for first-time mothers to have questions about breastfeeding like:

  • How do I know when the baby needs to nurse?
  • How can I be sure the baby is getting enough?
  • How do I ensure the baby has milk when I am unavailable to breastfeed?

Our lactation consultant offers classes to answer all these questions and more. New moms can also schedule a free session with the lactation consultant to have their concerns addressed so they can successfully breastfeed.
